Artesyn''s Power Group produces advanced board-mounted DC/DC converters, AC/DC power supplies and power delivery systems for industry-leading OEMs serving the communications industry. The group is the world leader in power conversion products for systems employing Distributed Power Architectures (DPA). Its particular expertise is the design and manufacture of high efficiency, high power density isolated DC/DC converters, and non-isolated point-of-load (POL) converters. The group''s products are used principally in complex communications systems and their associated wireless infrastructure. Typically, these include mid- to high-end servers, data storage devices, routers, hubs, high-speed modems and access concentrators, as well as controllers, transceivers and RF power amplifiers for cellular base stations. The Power Group operates eight design centers and four manufacturing facilities, positioned at strategic locations around the world. High volume manufacturing is performed by the group''s facilities in Zhongshan, China and Tatabanya, Hungary, while smaller production volumes are handled by facilities in Redwood Falls, Minnesota and Einsiedel, Germany. All four manufacturing sites are certified to the international ISO9000 standard.
