BÉKÉS MEGYEI SZOCIÁLIS, GYERMEKVÉDELMI, REHABILITÁCIÓS ÉS MÓDSZERTANI KÖZPONT

Fogyatékosok Ápoló - Gondozó Otthona Ellátást nyújtunk azoknak a középsúlyos és súlyos értelmi fogyatékos, illetve halmozottan sérült gyermekeknek, akiknek nevelése, oktatása koruknak, fogyatékosságuknak megfelelő óvodában, iskolában nem oldható meg, akik csak folyamatos segítséggel oktathatók, képezhetők, foglalkoztathatók, és gondozásukra csak intézményi keretek között van lehetőség. Indokolt esetben enyhe értelmi fogyatékos személyek is elhelyezhetők az intézetben, elhelyezésükről azonban elkülönítetten gondoskodunk.

Ellátást nyújtunk korlátozott számban az intézetben felnőtté vált fogyatékos személyeknek. A fiatalkorú és a felnőtt személyek ellátásáról szükség szerint elkülönítetten gondoskodunk. - Rehabilitációs részlegünkön olyan fogyatékos személyek ellátását biztosítjuk, akik önálló életvezetési képességeik kialakításában segítséget igényelnek és ellátásuk csak intézményi keretek között valósítható meg. - Gyermekvédelmi szakellátást biztosítunk az ideiglenes hatállyal elhelyezett, átmeneti vagy tartós nevelésbe vett tartósan beteg, illetőleg fogyatékos, valamint koruk miatt különleges ellátást igénylő gyermekeknek. - Az intézmény nappali ellátást nyújtó részlegén egymástól elkülönítve kiskorú, koruknak és állapotuknak megfelelő, nevelési és oktatási intézményben nem elhelyezhető, és habilitálható gyermekek, valamint középsúlyos vagy súlyos értelmi fogyatékos fiatal felnőttek ellátása történik.

Our institution - the Nursing and Caring Home for Handicapped Children of Békés County - county methodological center - operates on the Southeast part of Hungary, in Békéscsaba, the county town of Békés County. This is the only institution in the county that has been specified for the boarding provision of the handicapped minors. Its departments of daytime provision - the Club of Persons Living with Handicap and the Kindergarten of Habilitation - admit the children and the young handicapped adults needing provision both from Békéscsaba and its area. The boarding home was established in 1978 for 240 children. Operated by the Children's Home for Handicapped Children, in 1986 the Day-nursery for Handicapped Children and in 1989 the Kindergarten of Habilitation started the work with 20-20 places each. Presently we attend to 200 residents and 40 day-pupils. In the boarding home we accommodate the children in four-bedded, up-to-date, nicely furnished apartments with private bath. Our institution is supported by the County Self-Government. It can be found on the Northeast part of Békéscsaba - beside the woodland park - in a quiet, nice, suburban surrounding, with a large garden. Following the renovation finished in 2002 it meets the demands of nowadays both in functional and aesthetic respect. We have developed eur professional program to be able to provide a selection as wide as possible for the handicapped persons and their family being in need. The main tasks of the Nursing and Caring Home for Handicapped Children are nursing, care taking, teaching, habilitation/rehabilitation, as well as, medical care. In the course of the care taking we ensure the physical and mental comfort of the children, provide for their necessary engagement. The teaching aims to reach a self-reliance as great as possible, and to acquire the norms of behavior that are prerequisites of adapting to the society.
