A Borsodi Fémmű Kft-t 1997-ben alapították és 2001 augusztusától működik a jelenlegi formájában. A dinamikusan működő mikro vállalkozás 2002 elejére jelentős fejlődésnek indult és elérte jelenlegi formáját. Fő cél az általános forgácsolás, préselés és hőkezelés kivitelezse, amit olyan gyártó kapacitás létrehozását igényelte, amely univerzális és speciális gépparkkal az egyedi és kis sorozatú megrendelői igényeket is képes kielégíteni. Jelenleg egy 800 m2-es csarnokban dolgozunk melyet ebben az évben 150 m2-el bővítünk, ahová a nagy zajterheléssel járó gépeket lehet áthelyezni, ezzel is segítve a dolgozóinkat a humánusabb munkahely kialakításával.

Borsodi Fémmű Ltd.was founded in1997 and it has been operating in its present-day form since august 2001. This dynamic micro firm started to develop really intensely at the beginning of 2002. At the moment it employs 22 people 2 of whom are main engineers and one is a machine operating technician. They certainly speak both English and German. The company''s development was based on two pillars: The main goal was the accomplishment of chipping, pressing and heat treatment, which required installing manifacturing capability that is able to satisfy any special orders with its universal arsenal of machines.This task had been fulfiled by the beginning of 2002 when we had the following machinery: several different types of turning lathes (one of which can work on products up tp 5m in length), a flat grinder an external cylindrical grinder, a planer, different types of milling machines, intermediate and and high frequency tempering machines, welding machines for aluminium and steel, eccentric presses from 5 to 63 tons, a hydraulic press up to 150 tons, a Passu fast press up to 25 tons. For these machines we can produce simple cutting tools and we can also maintain them. We also have two column-mounted drills and an electric spark machine. Our second goal was to find a product of our own for which there is permanent demand, because this means a stable, regular income. We achieved this with starting the manifacturing of lathe tools. All these could not have come into life without having had the required infrastructural background. Now we work in a 800 square meter hall. And by the beginning of next year a new 150 suare meter hall will be opened where our loud noise producing machines will be placed to provide better work conditions for our people. Borsodi Fémmű Ltd. regularly supplies Hungarian State Railways Plc., GE Hungary Plc. and several other industrial firms nearby.
