CSOPAK TÁNCEGYÜTTES

1995 őszén az általános iskolából pár éve kiöregedett táncosok megalakították a Csopak Táncegyüttest.

Igazi utazó együttes - Európán kívűl, Ázsiában, és Afrikában látták táncukat és hallottak - Csopakról.Tagjai középiskolások, főiskolai hallgatók, dolgozó fiatalok, akik vállalták, hogy munkájuk mellett népünk tánchagyományát ápolják és a nagyközönségnek bemutatják. Fiatal koruk ellenére valamennyien tizenéves táncos múlttal rendelkeznek.

In the autumn of 1995 dancers who had left primary school a few years before established the Csopak Folk Dance Group. It is comprised of secondary school and college students and young people who have a job and who undertook to take care of the folk dance customs of our nation and to present them to the wider public. Despite their young age they all have a folk dancing history of more than ten years. /The Kaláris folk dance group was established in 1967 in Csopak in the elementary school and it has been operating ever since then. The value of their work is shown by numerous performances abroad, by participations in festivals in Hungary and by two Grand Prizes./ The group plays a decisive role in the cultural programmes of the northern shore of Lake Balaton, which is shown by some 70-80 dance performances each year.
