Main aims for the establishment of the industry park: employment of the available qualified workingforce, to promote the joining industrial areas due to the potential power of the industry park, to move companies operating in the living area to the industry par to protect the living area and to reduce the damage done to the environment, the industry park should have an international character due to investments coming from sister cities and other foreign investors. The Hódmezővásárhely Industry park would be in the centre of the development region founded under the name of Duna-Tisza-Maros Euro-Region which includes the South-Hungarian Plain Region as well. The traffic infrastructure (motor-ways, main roads, internaional rail-roads, airport and ports) along with the development of economy will play a distinguished role in the future. In the Szeged-Makó-Hódmezővásárhely triangle an enterprise region will be established in the near future which will serve the needs of economical developments on the other side of the borders too. The industry park is connected to the existing industry area in the south-eastern part of the town. It is accessible from the Maroslele road No. 4414 and Makó road No. 4415, which in the future will serve as the region''s north-south axis. The by-pass of main road No. 47 will be built here. It is located 25 km from the international road No. E5. The M5 highway, which is in the goverment development plan, will be in 25 km-distance. In the first phase a 60 hectare area will be built out of which 22 hectare is already occupied by small and middle enterprises, the remaining 38 hectare, which is in the property of the town, waits for further investors to the industry park. To shape the area with basic infrastructure (water, gas, electricity, drain, rainwater diversion) is assured.
