INDIÁNVÁR NEMZETKÖZI ÓVODA

Az Indiánvár Nemzetközi Óvoda Alapítvány által működtetett nemzetközi óvoda. Multikulturális óvodánkban egyszerre két csoport működik, az egyikben a használt társalgási nyelv az angol, itt a foglalkozásokat magas képzettséggel rendelkező angol anyanyelvű pedagógus vezeti. A másik csoportban a társalgási nyelv a magyar, ahol az angolul anyanyelvi szinten beszélő magyar pedagógusunk játékos módszereinek köszönhetően az angolul nem beszélő gyermekek is nagyon hamar elsajátítják az angol nyelv alapjait. 12-20 fős csoportjainkba 2 évestől 7 éves korig fogadunk gyermekeket.

Curriculum: The Indian Village International Preschool and Kindergarten is operated by a foundation registered in Hungary. There are two classes operating simultaneously in our multicultural kindergarten. In one of them the conversational language is English, and the activities are led by a native English teacher with academic qualification. In the other class the conversational language is Hungarian, and a Hungarian teacher with high English speaking skills is going to teach English with an amusing method by which the children will acquire the basics of English very quickly. The Indian Village Kindergarten accepts children from ages 2 - 7 years. Class sizes range from 12 to 20 children. Besides the two teachers, in each class there will be several specialised teachers who will help the children in their development. The admission into our kindergarten is continuous. WHY THE INDIANS? The framing idea for the contents of the curriculum chosen by the leaders of our kindergarten is based on the cultures of the American natives. This theme is not only very popular among children, but it is also fully compatible with all the points listed in our Aims below, from the attitude towards meals to the handicraft activities. The chosen motto for our kindergarten was the following quotation from Seattle, the chief of the Suquamish and Duwamish tribes: Teach your children what we have taught our children, that the earth is our mother. This we know, the earth does not belong to man, man belongs to the earth. All things are connected like the blood which unites one family. All things are connected. Whatever befalls the earth, befalls the sons of the earth. In accordance with his words, our aims and activities, although varied, constitute an organic unity in terms of naturalness and they are in harmony with nature. This was our leading principle while choosing the furniture and facilities, and using natural and environmentally friendly paints and other materials.
