Az étterem mai helyén (Kinizsi utca 30-36. szám alatt) a 19. században kaszárnya működött. Az épület később dohánygyár lett, a pincéje pedig hosszú évekre raktár. 25 évvel ezelőtt éledt újjá a ház, ekkor alakították ki a mai vendéglőt, amely napjainkra akár 360 vendég befogadására is alkalmas. Állandó étlapunk gazdag választékán felül hetente megújuló különlegességeket és bajor licenc alapján helyben főzött organikus sört, kiváló borokat kínálunk vendégeinknek. A jó hangulatról esténként 18 órától 3 tagú zenekar gondoskodik. Kedves vendégeink kényelmét légkondicionálás és őrzött buszparkoló szolgálja. Angol, német, igény szerint orosz nyelvű étlap áll rendelkezésre. Különtermeink kiválóan alkalmasak családi és üzleti zártkörű rendezvények lebonyolítására, illetve party service szolgálatunk 2000 főig vállalja házon kívüli rendezvények teljes körű lebonyolítását.

As a member of a well-known hosting dynasty, we run the restaurant together with my son. My grandfather József Papp has been the owner of the Gödör-Halásztanya in Kispest, while my father Endre Papp has been the chief of Mathias Cellar both in Budapest and in Vienna. Even today, our Guests will find on our Menu card the dishes that have been made upon old family recipes, for instance the fish soup, the filleted carp meals, or the cold raspberry strudels. We still keep ourselves to the family ars poetica the way we have done at the old times: "The content of the Guests is first and foremost" On the area of the today?s restaurant (Kinizsi street 30-36.), there was a military caserne working in the 19th century. Later the building turned to be a tobacco factory, its cellar has been a storing room for years. The house has been renewed 20 years ago, this has been the time when the present restaurant has been established that has a capacity being suitable to host even 360 guests by now. On working days, already from 7:00 a.m., we offer fresh cakes from our own confectionery, with hot coffee or tea. In addition to the rich selection of dishes in the standard menu card, we recommend new specialities usually weekly, and offer locally brewed beer upon Bavarian license, and exclusive wines to accompany our dishes. On Saturdays and Sundays, we provide a 50% discount during the entire opening time from the prices of our a la carte dishes on the menu card. The good atmosphere is secured from 6:00 p.m. in the evenings by a 3 members live music band. The comfort of our Guests is still increased by the air-conditioning and guarded bus parking place. Menu cards are available in English and German, furthermore, in case of such requirement, in Russian languages.
