Királyudvar bottles a sweet Cuvée produced solely from Muscat Lunel grapes harvested in its 2005 vintage. This special wine will be named Cuvée Patricia and made in years where the proprietary Cuvée Ilona is not produced. This is another exciting concept in winemaking and creativity that Királyudvar has introduced into the Tokaj region. Királyudvar and Montrose Food & Wine conduct a successful launch of wines in Beijing, China in late April. The launch began with a VIP Master Tasting followed by a wine and food pairing dinner at the first-class restaurant Firstar. Királyudvar releases a limited production of its inaugural Sec and Demi-Sec wine products to complement its existing sweeter dessert wines. This represents a new era of winemaking targeted towards producing internationally acclaimed dry wines. Királyudvars 2000 Cuvée Ilona and 2002 Cuvée Ilona win blind taste tests conducted in Hungary as the top cuvées in Hungary. Királyudvars 1999 Cuvée Ilona and 2000 Lapis Furmint have officially been selected to be served at Hungarian foreign consulates worldwide. 2005 Királyudvar enters the China market. The A&E Group and Montrose Food & Wine have entered into an exclusive wine distribution agreement in the Peoples Republic of China for the wines of both Királyudvar and its sister winery, Domaine Huet. Montrose Food & Wine is one of the most respected importers and distributors of premium international wines in China. In the Spring of 2005, Montrose conducted a successful tasting for the trade of both Kiralyudvar and Huet wines in Beijing. Királyudvar enters the Canadian market. Királyudvar and Kylix Wines have entered into a wine distribution agreement in Canada. Kylix Wines will concentrate its marketing efforts initially in the Ontario market. 2004 Királyudvar?s 2000 vintage Tokaji Aszú 6 Puttonyos wins the Pannon Grand Prix as the best Hungarian wine of 2004.
