Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in February 1989, the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Hungary have been strengthening the bilateral relations not only in political field but also in economic, technological and cultural areas. Sharing with Hungary universal values such as democracy, market economy and respect for human rights, Korea regards Hungary as an important partner in addressing global issues. In economic field, over 40 Korean enterprises are engaged in the production and sales of goods and services in Hungary making their utmost efforts to bring benefit to both countries. The two countries also established the Hungarian-Korean Technical Cooperation Center to promote cooperation in the areas of science and technology. Korea is determined to further develop the mutually beneficial relations with Hungary in the years to come.
