A családok számára talán az egyik legnagyobb vonzerő az ország legnagyobb feszített víztükrű strandja (6000 m2). A strandon hatalmas területen terül el és a számos vendéglátóhely mellett, gyermekmedence és óriáscsúszda is szolgálja az ideérkezők kikapcsolódását.

A fenti lehetőségeken kívül még számos program pl. a minden évben megrendezett 3 napos Orfűi Napok fesztivál szórakoztatja a vendégeket. Ezen kívül a remek adottságoknak köszönhetően a horgászat, vadászat és környék természeti értékeinek gyalogos - autós megismerése jelenthet kellemes kikapcsolódást. Érdeklődésre tarthatnak számot a helyi védettségű régi lakóházak (ezek közül is főleg Tekeres faluképe), a természetvédelmi területek és a Mecsek hegység erdő-borította hegyláncai.

This place, in perfect balance of natural worth, and human intervension, is blessed with deep history, came to be with the fusion of five ancient settlements. The village-size area of this small town, couinting all together 800 souls, is ringed around three beautiful lakes, among woods, and groves, and nicely trimmed paklands. As for the entertainment, and peacefull recreation of the guests, Orfű has many beaches (with the nation''s largest, 6000 m2 pool, and many swimsites enclosed from the lakes), well developed commercial, and catering trade network, sport-grounds, horse-riding ranchges, musical and cultural programs. It may also be comfortable to know, that during the summer season, 24 hour medical duty guards the health of guests. These things are all are all but to serve the comfortable accomodation of the summer guest-army (counting about 10-15 thousand).
